We, the congregation of The Bright & Morning Star Church located in the City of Vallejo, California, do hereby nominate our Pastor, Sharon Spencer for the upcoming Humanitarian Award based on the following:

If anyone deserves not only the nomination, but also the honor of receiving the Humanitarian Award, it would be our faithful Pastor Sharon T. Spencer of Vallejo, California.

Her diligent endeavors to give someone a helping hand have been words she truly lives by.  Through the pastoring of this assembly for the past years Sharon Spencer has always shown her love and compassion by always extending that hand of love by opening her own personal home to individuals in need.  Over the years, she has literally put legs and feet on love, and that love became the charity spoken of in the Bible.  Charity is doing for others without lip service only.  This is the true essence of Pastor Sharon Spencer.  She looks beyond what she sees naturally in humankind and allows the Lord God to direct and show love through her unselfish manner of giving.  Whatever is necessary, she will find a way to fulfill the need.  If it was a natural need, she took care of it or saw to it, that it was taken care of.  After the natural need was taken care of she would minister to the spiritual needs.  If anyone needed a place to stay, she would not stop until they had it.  If it was food that was necessary, she found ways to provide it.  She ministers constantly to the sick and shut in, our own congregation, and has gone beyond by extending herself to helping and assisting in the community.
